Dr. Dr. Royal H. Benson, III is a highly qualified and skilled, Board Certified, Obstetrician/ Gynecologist offering female genital refinement surgery and in-office tumescent liposuction. Dr. Benson has been performing the refinement surgeries for twenty years.

Education

Royal H. Benson, III, M.D. graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, in Lubbock, Texas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Benson is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Medical Association, The Texas Medical Association, the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the Association of American Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the International Society of Cosmetogynecology.

With new specialized surgical techniques, the patient is able to return to her normal activities in a very short amount of time after this surgery. There is minimal postoperative pain and minimal scarring occurs.

You should demand a surgeon with exceptional surgical skills. There are a limited number of surgeons qualified to perform vaginal refinement procedures. Dr. Royal H. Benson, III is highly qualified to perform this surgery for you.

Costs and Financing

Fees listed above include pre-op bloodwork, surgery, and post-op visit.

*Note: We are unable to determine the fees associated with liposuction until you have your consultation visit. The number of areas to be treated and the extent of the treatment determine the length of time the surgery will take. This, in turn, determines the cost of the procedure. Experience has shown that in-office tumescent liposuction is less expensive because there is no fee for the hospital or anesthesia.

Office Fees and Insurance

Cosmetic surgery, especially vaginal cosmetic susrgery and liposuction are not covered by insurance.

When either liposuction or vaginal cosmetic surgery (labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, clitoral unhooding) is scheduled, you will be required to pay HALF of the total cost of the surgery. This may be paid with cash, credit card or money order. NO personal checks will be accepted. Four days prior to the date of your surgery, the remaining balance must be paid IN FULL or the procedure will be cancelled.

The fee paid is "all-inclusive" and will include the doctor's fee, the facility fee, lab work, dressings and compression garments, post operative visits and phone calls. You are responsible for the cost of any pre-operative and post-operative medications that are prescribed.

All patients that are considering vaginal cosmetic surgery or liposuction must have a consultation visit with Dr. Benson. The cost of this visit is $100. This fee may be paid with cash, personal check, credit card (MasterCard or Visa), or money order. The $100 consultation fee will be collected upon arrival for this visit. Should you schedule a procedure to be performed by Dr. Benson, the $100 consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost of your procedure.

Financing

The financing company we recommend is Capitol One Healthcare Finance Company and we are able to assist you in the application process. If approved, the money will be paid directly to Dr. Benson on your behalf. There are scheduling restrictions that apply when using this credit company, and will be explained, should you decide to utilize this company. If you use Capital One, and you decide to cancel the surgery after it has been paid for, the money paid to Dr. Benson will ONLY be refunded to the finance company. Should you choose to reschedule your date of surgery, you must do so within 90 days of your consultation visit.
